International Yog Festival 2018

Yoga means ‘union’ not merely of body, but mind, heart and soul as well. Yoga is not limited to stretches, twists and physical exercise but union of oneself with the Divine. It is an ancient science which provides happy heart, peaceful mind and lets you discover universal conscious and practicing this art.

The International Yog Festival is a life-transforming, globally-unique event bringing together people from all over the world on the banks of the holy Ganges River where one can enjoy the celestial ceremony of ‘Ganga Aarti’ every evening in the lap of the sacred Himalayas.

At the International Yog Festival, one can learn from the true masters and attain peace from revered teachers of yoga and meditation, enlightened Spiritual Leaders, Evolutionary Thought Leaders, and Wellness Specialists from all around the world and can also participate in over 70 hours of Yoga classes, practice multiple styles of Yogic poses and learn Secrets of Ayurveda, Reiki, Power Pranayama, Yogic Jogging and Healing Miracles like Addiction Recovery and learn how to balance life with the wisdom hidden within!

This year, the festival was celebrated in Rishikesh from 1st- 8th March’2018, officially inaugurated by President of India Sh. M Venkaiah Naidu, presided by Uttarakhand Governor Sh. KK Paul, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Sh. Trivendra Singh Rawat, Union Minister of Tourism, Sh. Alphons Kannanthanam and many more.

This edition of Yog festival was unique in its own way as it celebrated the golden jubilee year of the ‘The Beatles’ visit to Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. In February 1968, this legendary rock band came to Rishikesh, to learn transcendental meditation at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram, locally known as Chaurasi Kutia. That stint turned out to be one of the most creative periods in the group’s career. They wrote many songs and 17 of them were used in The Beatles (White Album) and two more in Abbey Road. To celebrate the 50 years of their visit, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board had specially invited a mock Beatles band from London named ‘Fab Four’ to pay tribute to the iconic band. They performed from 4th to 6th March’2018, giving the guests a taste of Beatlemania.

International Yog Festival is a chance to connect with your inner self, to discover your true potential and to connect deeply with your own inner divine flow.
