Manila Devi Temple, Almora

Manila Devi is the ancestral deity of the former royal Katyuri clan. The Manila Devi Temple is dedicated to her. It is perched at a height of 1,820 m and lies in the Kumaon region.

Aditya Sun Temple, Ramak Champawat

This is a serene temple dedicated to the Sun God and Lord Shiva. It is located in the Ramak village of Champawat district. It was built by the kings of the Chand dynasty in the 16th century. During the months of August/September, a large number of devotees gather to attend the three-day festival of Surya Sasthi, in which the Sun God is worshipped.

Guru Brihaspati Temple, Nainital

It is one of the few temples dedicated to Guru Brihaspati. Located on a hill, the temple draws worshippers from nearby areas.

Shani Temple, Uttarkashi

These two popular temples dedicated to Lord Shani are located in the Kharsali village in Uttarkashi. Perched at a height of around 2,133 m, one temple is shaped like a five-storied house. Built with stone and wood, the temple stands on wooden stilts to stay protected from floods and earthquakes. A bronze statue of Shani Maharaj is installed inside. The temple offers panoramic views of the Kharsali village.
