New Delhi to Nainital

You can choose to either arrive in Nainital a night before or embark on the journey on the day itself. The distance between New Delhi and Nainital is about 310 km and should take around 8 hours to cover. If you are travelling during the day, get some rest and have some food before ticking off at least of Nainital's must-visit attractions – Naini Lake.

Nainital is well-connected by motorable roads from all the major destinations in Uttarakhand. Buses also regularly run from ISBT Kashmere Gate, New Delhi, to Rishikesh, which is about 250 km from Nainital.

You can reach Kathgodam Railway Station by train and it is 23 km away from Nainital. Any Major city of India has trains to Kathgodam railway station. A popular Train called Ranikhet Express runs from New Delhi & Kathgodam. After reaching there you can take a bus to reach Nainital.

The nearest air hub to Nainital is Pantnagar Airport in Udham Singh Nagar (around 69 km away), which is connected to New Delhi by regular flights. You can avail buses, taxis and cabs from the air base to reach Nainital.

For a more leisurely experience, you can try boating at Naukuchiatal. Do not miss Kainchi Dham that was visited by Steve Jobs (founder of Apple) and Mark Zuckerberg (founder and CEO of Facebook).
